Bon Odori Festival 2025 (Petaling Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia)

Bon Odori Festival 2025 Malaysia (盆踊り), the 49th edition of the traditional Japanese Buddhist dance festival, returns on 12 & 13 July 2025 at Sunway City Kuala Lumpur, located just a 30-minute drive from the city centre.

Supported by Tourism Selangor, visitors can enjoy captivating performances of the Bon Odori dance, along with drum shows and other stage performances curated by Sunway and the tourism authority.

In addition to the cultural festivities, there will be a pop-up F&B market offering a wide variety of Japanese and local cuisine, with both halal and non-halal options available to cater to all dietary needs. It’s a celebration not to be missed – a perfect blend of tradition, culture, and culinary delight!

Admission is free; however, registration is required. A QR code will be issued upon successful registration, and attendees are advised to screenshot the code and present it at the entrance on the event day.
