Klang River Festival 2023, the second edition of the annual festival that celebrates the artistry, heritage, community & the rich biodiversity of Sungai Kelang, is back from 8 – 24 September 2023. Themed ‘Tanah Air’ (homeland in Malay), the event will feature a series of hands-on workshops, musical performances, local markets, exhibitions, talks, film screenings, camping activities and more in various parts of KL.

Remembering tomorrow
A documentary thinking workshop by Mahen Bala that redefines documentary as a fluid process. Participants can look forward to an engaging dialogues with the presenter and other participants to shaping a fresh perspective on the documentary journey.
A hands-on art workshop by Cikgu Huda & Diyana designed for kids and adults alike to express their understanding of what the river means to them. Participants’ completed artwork will be added to a gigantic loom that represents the Klang River.
A nature journaling workshop by Joshua Chow Keng Fatt that combines sketching, writing and numbers to create a journal on the memories participants have of Klang river.
The show features 3 solo music performances by Francoe, Angqasa, and Straw Lim. On top of that, attendees will get to enjoy live jamming performances and yoga theatre experience at this event.
