Kota Kinabalu Countdown 2024 / 2025 (Sabah, Malaysia)

Kota Kinabalu Countdown 2024 / 2025 (KKCD 2025), Sabah’s official New Year’s celebration, will be held on 31 December 2024, at Dataran Bandaraya and the surrounding areas.

Organised by the Sabah state government, this free concert on New Year’s Eve (NYE) will showcase an exciting lineup of local and international artistes, including K-pop sensation Suho 수호 (EXO), rising Mandopop star Firdhaus 菲道尔, Malaysian celebrity Bella Astillah, and more. A major highlight of the event will be the spectacular drone and fireworks displays, ushering in the new year with a bang.

In collaboration with the Flamewave Music Festival (FMF), attendees can purchase tickets to access the Fire Zone, Rock Zone and other premium sections, where high-energy electronic dance music and rock bands will keep the party going all night until the new year, complemented by a buffet dinner and free-flowing beer. Performing artistes include Minzy 공민지 (2NE1), Hyo 효연 (Girls’ Generation) and DJ Hime, among others.
