Malaysia Day Celebration 2024 (Kota Kinabalu, Sabah)

Malaysia Day Celebration 2024 (Sambutan Hari Malaysia 2024), commemorating the 61st anniversary of the formation of the Malaysian federation, will be held on 16 September 2024 at Padang Merdeka in Sabah.

The festivities will feature concert performances by renowned Sabah artists including Gary Chaw 曹格, Faizal Tahir and Amir Jahari. In addition to these performances, the celebration will include a cake-cutting ceremony, the Jalur Gemilang Merdeka Adventure Convoy (a national flag handover ceremony), art and cultural performances, as well as a hologram show and a drone show.

Under the theme “Malaysia Madani, Jiwa Merdeka”, the event will also host a variety of activities, including exhibitions, a food and product bazaar, patriotic song competitions, e-sports competitions, quizzes, drawing contests, and more!
