Malaysia National Day Celebration 2026 (Sambutan Hari Kebangsaan 2026), commemorating the 69th anniversary of Malaysia’s independence, returns to Dataran Putrajaya in the nation’s administrative capital on 31 August 2026.
Like in previous years, the celebration will feature a grand parade involving military personnel, uniformed services, and community groups, alongside thrilling military combat demonstrations, impressive vehicle displays by the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba), captivating cultural performances and a spectacular flypast by the Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF). Visitors can also explore a lively carnival offering a wide variety of food, beverages and retail stalls throughout the event grounds.
The annual celebration is expected to draw hundreds of thousands of spectators from across Malaysia and overseas. To enjoy the festivities comfortably, visitors are encouraged to take public transport, arrive early and secure a good viewing spot before the main parade begins.
