Rainforest World Music Festival 2026 (Sarawak, Malaysia)

Rainforest World Music Festival 2026 (RWMF 2026), the 29th edition of the annual music gathering in East Malaysia, returns to the lush rainforest at the foothills of Mount Santubong, set within the scenic Sarawak Cultural Village from 26 – 28 June 2026.

This year’s multi-genre music celebration embraces the theme “Regenerations: Roots & Rhythms”, highlighting a powerful reconnection with cultural heritage while welcoming contemporary musical expression. Over three days, the festival will showcase performances by an exciting lineup of international artists from across the globe. Headlining the festival are Malaysia’s legendary Dato’ M. Nasir, iconic American funk and soul band The Commodores, and the United Kingdom’s acclaimed jazz-funk collective Incognito.

Beyond the main stage, festival-goers can enjoy a variety of interactive experiences, including music workshops, cultural and craft exhibitions, and a lively marketplace offering a wide selection of local delicacies and traditional snacks at the festival’s food stalls.
