Sarawak New Year Countdown 2024 / 2025 (Kuching, Malaysia)

Sarawak New Year Countdown 2024 / 2025, the annual NYE celebration at Waterfront Kuching, is back on 31 December 2024.

The event kicks off in the morning with aerobics, orchestral performances, exhibitions, demonstrations and a delectable food fair. The excitement continues from 6pm with concerts featuring Sarawakian artistes and cultural groups, along with regionally renowned singers and bands, including Hetty Koes Endang and Akim & The Majistret.

Calling all Sarawakians, come and join the official state countdown this New Year’s Eve, complete with a dazzling fireworks display to usher in 2025!

Programme / Event Schedule

• (8:00am – 6:00pm) Aerobics session (Senamrobik), captivating performances by the Sarawak Arts Council and the Junior Sarawak State Symphony Orchestra (SONS), as well as exhibitions, live demonstrations, and delicious offerings from food trucks.
• (8:00pm – 9:45pm) Pre-countdown concert showcasing an exciting lineup of local Sarawakian talent, including I-Cats Performing Arts, Harris Mukhriz, Isz Arfan, Harry Parren Ngau, Darren Jadriel Valentine, Norafizah Busman, Ng Chien Chien, Roxy Ixzy, Aleysha & Ryan Zachary Van Der Horst, Siti Hasmah, Excrozim Band, Lan Perey, and Ashweein Narayanan.
• (10:00pm – 12:00am) Countdown concert by Kumpulan Permata (Sarawak Arts Council), Zeppo Youngsterz Crew, Kinate Dance Group, Zee Avi and Hetty Koes Endang.
• (12:00am – 12:10am) Fireworks show against the backdrop of the Sarawak State Legislative Assembly and Flag of Sarawak (Ibu Pertiwi Flag)
• (12:10am – 12:55am) Post-countdown concert by Sarawakian bands and Akim & the Majistret.
