Sibu Countdown 2024 / 2025, the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture (MOTAC)’s New Year countdown party, will be held for the first time in Sibu, from 27 – 31 December 2024 at the Azman Hashim Community Sports Centre.
With the theme “Sibu Carnival: Celebrating 2025 Together” the event will showcase Sarawak’s rich multicultural heritage through a variety of exciting activities. Highlights include a 100-stall food fair offering delicious dishes from the Malay, Iban and Chinese communities, along with live performances and entertainment by renowned Malaysian artistes. This vibrant celebration will capture the spirit of unity in Sarawak and throughout Malaysia.
The festivities will conclude with a stunning fireworks display lighting up Sibu’s skyline as we usher in 2025.
