For the first time ever, the Malaysia Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture (MOTAC) New Year’s Eve countdown party will be held in Sibu, Sarawak, at the Azman Hashim Community Sports Centre.
With the theme “Sibu Carnival: Celebrating 2024 Together”, the carnival will feature a variety of multicultural activities, including a food fair offering dishes from diverse communities, cultural performances, and live music by renowned artists such as Bunkface, Baby Shima, Nicole Lai and Uriah See.
The festivities will culminate with a spectacular fireworks display at midnight as we welcome 2025.

Sarawak’s official New Year Countdown will return to the scenic Kuching Waterfront this New Year’s Eve. The day’s festivities will kick off at 8am in the morning and run until 6pm, featuring an aerobics session, exhibitions, cultural performances and a variety of activities. The celebration will then transition into the countdown concert at 8pm.
The evening’s lineup is divided into two segments. The first will showcase performances by Sarawakian artistes and cultural groups, while the second will feature popular Malaysian band Akim & The Majistret and Indonesian kroncong singer Hetty Koes Endang.

Sabah’s biggest NYE countdown party is set to light up Dataran Bandaraya and the surrounding areas! The free concert will be headlined by K-pop sensation Suho 수호 (EXO), rising Mandopop star Firdhaus 菲道尔, Malaysian celebrity Bella Astillah, and supported by 14 other talented artistes.
