Thean Hou Temple CNY Celebrations 2025 (雪隆海南会馆天后宫新春活动2025), one of KL's largest Chinese New Year celebrations, will take place from 28 January to 12 February 2025 at the Mazu Temple (妈祖庙) in the city centre. The temple will be beautifully adorned with hundreds of red lanterns, creating the perfect setting for festive family photos. Visitors can pray for good fortune and health in the coming year while enjoying a variety of exciting performances, including a fireworks display, lion dances, acrobatics, Chinese music concerts, cultural shows, and more!
Fo Guang Shan Dong Zen Temple CNY Lantern & Floral Festival 2025 (马来西亚佛光山东禅寺平安灯会暨花艺展2025), the annual Chinese New Year celebration in Selangor, returns from 25 January - 12 February 2025, at the Buddhist monastery on the outskirts of Kuala Lumpur. In addition to religious activities such as prayers, rituals, art and floral exhibitions, and lectures throughout the festive period, the festival's highlight will be a captivating snake-themed lantern exhibition, perfect for photo opportunities with friends and family. Visitors can also explore a book fair and indulge in a vegetarian food fair, adding to the festive atmosphere.
Kek Lok Si Temple Chinese New Year Celebrations 2024 (槟城鹤山极乐寺农历新年庆祝活动2024) will be held from 4 February - 8 March 2024. Apart from Buddhist prayers and rituals that devotees can participate in throughout this period, the highlight of the event is none other than the stunning night time CNY lightings at the temple that visitors can take photos with.
Kek Lok Si Temple CNY Celebrations 2025 (槟城鹤山极乐寺农历新年庆祝活动2025) will be held from 25 January - 25 February 2025 at Malaysia's largest Buddhist temple. Devotees can participate in prayers and rituals throughout the month, while visitors can marvel at the awe-inspiring light displays and installations atop the hills of Ayer Itam, creating the perfect backdrop for memorable photos.
Fo Guang Shan Dong Zen Temple CNY Lantern & Floral Festival 2023 (佛光山东禅寺平安灯会暨花艺展2023), an annual Chinese New Year celebratory event in Kuala Langat, will take place from 19 January - 5 February 2023 at the Buddhist monastery about an hour drive from Kuala Lumpur. Apart from prayers, rituals, lectures, workshops and religious activities that will be held throughout this period, the highlight of the festival is a 'Alice in the Wonderland' themed life-sized lantern exhibition featuring a 9.14m tall rabbit that visitors and devotees can take photos with. A book fair and a vegetarian food fair will also be held on the sideline.
Fo Guang Shan Dong Zen Temple CNY Lantern & Floral Festival 2024 (马来西亚佛光山东禅寺平安灯会暨花艺展2024), the annual Chinese New Year celebratory event in Selangor, is back from 7 February - 10 March 2024 at the Buddhist monastery on the outskirts of KL. Other than religious activities from prayers, rituals, floral exhibition to lectures that will be held throughout this festive period, the highlight of the festival is a dragon-themed lantern exhibition centering around a 288-feet long dragon. A book fair and a vegetarian food fair will also be held on the side.
